Cobalt can supply genuine Zebra ribbons as well as our own range of ribbons. Our own range of consumables are manufactured to the highest standards and have been comprehensively tested in house to produce comprable if not higher quality result than that of the leading suppliers.
All of our ribbon formulations are designed to meet the durability requirements of your application and can be supplied in a variety of widths/lengths and can be inside or outside wound.
Cobalt Eco Wax Ribbons
Cobalt Eco Wax Ribbons are a general purpose ribbon particularly adapted to standard label printing.
The ink provides excellent printing quality of standard barcodes, very small text, large characters and logos, at a blackness up to 2.1 (ODR).
The ribbon structure allows printing on all kinds of papers and uncoated papers in particular. This feature makes the ribbon highly recommended to the standard labelling market. Printing is also possible onto various synthetics.
The printed image offers heat resistance up to 60°C.
Those characteristics remain at speeds up to 300 mm/s (12 ips) and with 200, 300 and 600 DPI printheads.
Cobalt Performance Resin Enhanced Wax Ribbons
Cobalt Performance is our new generation resin enhanced wax
ribbon, particularly adapted to standard label printing where good mechanical
resistance is required.
The ink provides excellent print quality of standard and
ladder barcodes, very small text, large characters, and logos, at a blackness
up to 2.0 (ODR).
The ribbon structure allows printing on various receptors,
such as coated and uncoated papers and some synthetics.
The printed image offers improved smudge resistance compared to standard wax and heat resistance up to 100°C (212°F).
These characteristics remain at speeds up to 300 mm/s (12 ips) and with 200, 300 and 600 DPI printheads.
Cobalt Premium Wax Resin Ribbons
Cobalt Premium is a highly
sensitive premium wax/resin ribbon designed to give excellent printing
performance at low energy. It can be printed on a wide range of substrates with
the same level of performance.
The ink provides excellent
printing quality for all types of barcodes, very small text, large characters
and logos, at a blackness up to 2.1 (ODR).
The ribbon structure allows
printing on a wide range of receptors, such as uncoated and coated papers and
synthetics.
The printed image offers a
good level of smudge resistance combined with heat resistance up to 100°C.
Those characteristics remain
at speeds up to 300 mm/s (12 ips), and with 200, 300 and 600 DPI printheads,
making this ribbon perfectly adapted to the labelling market.
Cobalt Endurance Resin Ribbons
Cobalt Endurance Resin Ribbons are are dedicated to applications requiring a perfect printing quality and excellent mechanical resistances.
The ink provides excellent printing quality for all types of barcodes, very small text, large characters and logos, at blackness up to 1.7 (ODR).
The ribbon structure allows printing on many kinds of synthetics (PVC, PET, PE, PP), on various matt and high gloss coated papers and even on some uncoated papers.
The printed image offers an excellent smudge and scratch resistance and good heat resistance, up to 180°C.Those characteristics remain at speeds up to 250 mm/s (10 ips) and with 200, 300 and 600 DPI printheads, making this ribbon perfectly suited to the labelling market, and allowing its use in the flexible packaging printing market.
